I am trying to perform an upgrade to 10.0.9 and I keep getting the following error:

Filesystem permission error when trying to extract uninstall.php. Maybe you needed to give FTP details when logging in?

Can someone help me out please?  Thanks!

Hi,

It sounds like your server isn't a suExec server. If it doesn't ask for FTP details when you log into the upgrader then you will probably need to manually extract an upgrade. You'll find a link to download a personalised upgrade TAR for your site under "Transfer across new/updated files" which you can then manually extract onto your server (do not use the normal upgrade TAR, extracting that will cause major issues as it will restore files from bundled addons you may have removed).

I'll fix it tonight for you if you can email me access details to chris@ocproducts.com

I know the core issue (sources/global2.php outdated and now incompatible), but I want to make sure I can step through the process I said and it works right.
