I'm wondering if it is possible to add the Content Management link to the side_personal_stats block?  Here is what I mean...if you look at the panel with an Admin logged in, you get My Profile, Admin Zone, and Log Out links ---

And if a member is logged in, you get My Profile, Content Management, and Log Out links ---

What I'd like is for both the Content Management and the Admin Zone links to appear for when an Admin is logged in (i.e. have all four links -- My Profile, Content Management, Admin Zone, and Log Out).  Can this be done?  And if so, how?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I realise this doesn't answer your question, but why do you want to? The Admin Zone and CMS Zone have a shared menu navigation. If you have access to both the system doesn't really show any distinction in the navigation.

  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying Composr on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

A matter of convenience.  Short of using the Sitemap there is no convenient way to get to the Content Management Zone page…unless I've overlooked something (which is highly likely).

For example, I've found this to be the easiest way to get to the Manage IOTDs page (if you don't have the block installed).

Are you aware you can use the drop-downs to actually do fewer clicks, even from the Admin Zone dashboard?

Yes, and I'm comfortable with that  :)  But I have three Staff members who have many of the admin rights and they are not very experienced with administering a site….so while I am teaching them how to use the Admin Zone and the features there, I am encouraging them to ONLY go to the Admin Zone when necessary.  In other words, if there is functionality that can be done via the main web site, do things there.

Requires a small code change. This override will apply that (in a targeted safe way)…
