Infinite Scrolling

I have been posting many new items and have the dateline set to 600 days in the past so everything current should be shown.
I have infinie scrolling turned on and the news stops after 9 articles and does not scroll further even though many more current articles exist in the same news group.
If i turn this off, no pagination is displayed.
I double checked to make sure article number 10, etc is OK, in the right news group and date.
Thanks much for any info & happy 2018

- If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying Composr on fun personal projects.

Attached fixed version of this file also:
sources/blocks/main_news.php
It tries to not show an unreasonable amount of content, as that would stretch the server and bandwidth. However, it was supposed to allow up to 30 by default when showing by day range, or higher if the block's fallback settings were even higher.
After applying this fix, and you want more than 30, you can increase the fallback_full and/or fallback_archive settings on the block to allow more to show.
