Images and Videos in a catalog
I would like to add...
I'm experimenting with catalogs.My current experiment = http://jabi.com/site/pg/catalogues/index/jokes
- So far only allows text…
Is this possible?
- The closest I can get is a link to a youtube…
- I would like to display it like it does in the galleries.
Thanks in advance!

There are field types just for this, you'll find them in the list of field types when you add a field to the catalogue.

- If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
- If so, please let others know about Composr whenever you see the opportunity or support me on Patreon.
- If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying Composr on fun personal projects.
- If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

If you wish to create a new catalogue called 'jokes' and want too customise it, but want those changes to only be shown for your 'jokes' catalogue you could do the following:
Depending on how you want it presented, lets assume you will be using the grids format to display your entries.
Create a new template file called CATALOGUE_jokes_GRID_ENTRY_WRAP.tpl, copy the contents of your CATALOGUE_DEFAULT_GRID_ENTRY_WRAP.tpl into your newly created template.
You then make the changes you want in the newly created template, wich will only affect your jokes catalue, there are more template file you can make and change, as well as css edits, but hopefully this will get you started.
The tutorials on this are excellent as well.
Regards your navigation bar, you could try Damn Side Panels - Composr to tidy it up a little.

Still the closest thing I can do is display the link to it.
I've tried several options for the field type combined with the different display options.

There's no YouTube field type. However a Comcode field type will embed a YouTube video if you paste in the link to it.

All I see for fields with comcode in the description is:
CORRECTION: This is all I saw when I tried to edit an existing field. I forget what I originally had it setup as...
Under:
TEXT
+ A brief line of text (no Comcode support)
UPLOADS/URLS
+ An image from the comcodeeditor directory of them images
REFERENCES
+ A link to an item of 'comcode page' content
Adding a new field I do see the comocode text field...
Testing it now...

Deleted the old field.
Added a new field and I could see comcode text field.
Also was able to add the upload image and it displays.
Catalogs are a very cool feature of Composr!!!

You have a great site. I love the idea. One question. Did he eat the entire cat fish?

That was an old banner from back around '95 when I had a black site.
Made with CorelDraw...
One of those things I can now cross off my TTD list.
Thanks again!!!
Yes, well, him and a bunch of others... he has a fish fry every July 4th...
He says the key is to cut the tail, hang it head up and let it bleed for a long time.
Cuts out some of the dark lateral line.
Some of the best meat is actually on the belly!
I've never caught one big enough to eat the belly meat... haha

Your welcome & no problem.
Upload this for your "Standalone-logo" image. This will load for mobile devices and I think Emails as well. It has different dimensions than from your regular "-logo" image I just created for you.
If you check your website on your mobile phone as I did, you will notice that it is using a temporary default generated logo header image.
Replace that one, with this one.
