Summary0001330: When emailing a member, allow for CC or BCC to other site members
DescriptionOne of our website members asked about having this feature, and it hadn't occurred to me before, but it sounds useful. Besides the normal function of starting to type someone's username and selecting from popop list, probably good to be flexible enough for allowing an actual email address to be typed in the CC or BCC field which is not necessarily a member of the site

Testing just now, I don't see user names popping up when I start to type various members' names.

Also, the CC and BCC field description boxes need to extend further to the right. The text is getting cut off,

I can see I misinterpreted your requirements here. I read this as "Besides how we can find a member and contact them using the normal features (such as username autocompletion when starting a private topic), it would be good to additionally create CC and BCC fields". I now see my reading was a bit odd ;-).

I will revisit.

It wasn't really ambiguous, it's more my fault for skim reading. This one issue I actually finished ahead of time anyway, so making some further tuning is fine. Most of the time quoted for was adding CC support to the email system, which wasn't there before.

Great, thanks! I used the translate/rephrase software pane to complete the field descriptions (missing the word 'message' on the end I believe)

That's odd, it was showing in full for me. The very first time I put it in, I did have the end chopped off, but I fixed it and didn't see that again. But it may have somehow got stuck in the language cache.

Hello Chris,
The same user that asked for this functionality is now asking about 'Save' function. She says she was typing an email to someone, "had to leave the site, I lost the email and had to start again."

What is the current status of autosave or 'draft' functionality?

Hello,

I could add that in 1 hours work. We have the framework for this, but it currently only applies to Composr "posting forms" (e.g. news, forum posts), which this form doesn't count as.

That's now deployed. I also did a few tweaks to make it perform a bit better, and worked around a nasty bug on Google Chrome (https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=274983).
