| Summary | 0000134: Tie catalogues to normal modules | ||||
| Description | This is an advanced feature that needs documenting but not necessarily needs making very easy. Create a naming convention where e.g. a catalogue named "_downloads" ("downloads" being the name of a "content_meta_aware" hook) would define fields to supplement the default download fields. The AED form for downloads would automatically include these fields, with catalogue entries auto-associated in order to store these fields. The "advanced search" for downloads would allow template-searching upon these fields. Catalogue-style template parameters would be put into the DOWNLOAD_SCREEN template. | ||||

Implemented. However the bit about template searching is not, as I've realised it would cause big efficiency problems (too many database joins). A workaround is using something like Google Site search for these kinds of searches, or to put appropriate keywords in existing fields / meta keywords field. |
