| Description | Allow sale of permanent banners. The point-store allows sale of banners as a one-off (see 0000263 for bridging that into the eCommerce system). But it would be good to have automatic support for auto-charging on an ongoing basis. Take much of the usergroup subscription code for managing this, so we have the same features of notifications etc. Maybe abstract that code a bit so it is part of a general "subscription" subsystem. | ||||

Also note I don't think current point-store banner sale sets automatic expiration. So when implementing this, we are effectively also pulling the pre-existing feature firmly in the direction of "temporary banners". Or possibly make the existing feature configurable, thus giving the webmaster options for: 1) One-off payment for a permanent banner 2) One-off payment for a temporary banner (how temporary?) 3) Recurring payment for a permanent banner |
