Summary | 0002764: Comcode page edit not saving dynamic blocks and will not clone pages following upgrade to version 10 RC15
Description | I recall this was working fine in version 10 RC14. If you enter any dynamic comcode block in the comcode page editor the block is erased when you save the page or preview the page. This happens when trying to link any standard or custom composr dynamic block. Also, if you go to the "Edit Comcode Page" and select "clone" on any page the cloned page has no content (even though the original did). When you first select "clone" the editor opens and you briefly see the content of the page you cloned and then it is automatically erased. This is happening in any zone. This problem only occurred after installing version 10 RC15. Its possible the problem was also present in RC14 but I think it showed up with RC15.
Steps To Reproduce | Open any comcode page in the comcode page editor. Insert a dynamic block. Click either "save" or "preview" and the dynamic block you inserted is deleted. Also, open the "Edit Comcode Page" page. Click "clone" for any comcode page and the page that opens will briefly show that page's content then it will erase it giving you a blank page to edit.

Actually this issue does exist on one of my 10RC14 websites. Issue confirmed on my end too. |
|
Now, for me this issue only exists when using the WYSIWYG editor. It works fine when using the comcode editor (WYSIWYG disabled). Is this true for you as well? |
|
Yes. I am seeing the same result as you describe above. If WYSIWYG editor is disabled then the dynamic blocks are not erased and you can save or preview the comcode page without changing the programmed content. When you turn the WYSIWYG editor back on then the dynamic comcode blocks are automatically erased again. |
