| Description | Android's date selection (at least for the options configured by Composr) is frustrating especially for selecting date of birth. The UI provides no ability to jump by year, and instead you must keep tapping backwards month by month. Try to find a way to fix this without having to rely on a third party date picker. But use a third party library if we must. | ||||

Actually year selection is there but very poorly designed in the UI... must tap the year at the top of the material design modal. Leaving this open as we need a better solution for this. |

I'm changing this to a feature request. My feeling is that if Android has a bad date picker, it is Android's responsibility to fix it, not every websites responsibility to paper over the problem. iOS is still a better experience than Android from a UX point of view, and I kind of feel users know this and pick accordingly. iPhone's are actually better value for a good device due to Apple's vertical integration, and Android is not as Open Source as Google would like you believe so the ethical argument for Android is a bit weak. I would like to see screenshots of the issue here instead and/or a link to an upstream bug report. |
