Theme - G4

After much consideration I have decided to release the theme I am using on my main site as per my signature. For a brief time I was being selfish on my work.
I made this theme around my requirements, so it may not appeal to everyone. The focus of this theme is the front page displaying news etc. The forums, and the downloads page. When the site becomes more active I will also be customising the gallery.

This is still a work in progress and as such I will post a new version of this theme in this forum.

If you require a little customisation to suite your needs then please post here and myself or one of the other generous members will reply with a howto.

Some of the features:

• Fixed background image (change via the edit theme images)
• Fixed width 1150px
• Customised news display on the frontpage
• Modified forums display
• Customised downloads display (More work to be done)
• A lot of css edits

I have not tested this using the ecommerce or any of the other addons that my site is not using, so will rely on end user feedback in these areas. In the process of setting up my local install to fully test future themes.

Anyone who is a gamer and would like to assist in getting g4manic more active, then that would be thanks enough.

I am happy for this theme to be added to the themes download page, with whatever you feel best describes it.








 

PS: Yes I did remove the code for the navigation images while viewing the website in desktop view.

Made some small cosmetic changes to the main forum page.

Changed the shoutbox layout a little:

  The poster name and posted time are inline.

The next version will have the login and user link above the logo, freeing some room on the main navigator. I will also be including social media links. I should have this done in a couple of days, and as always, will post new release here.

Changes:

- Restored the menu image code. Removed menu images via css instead of hard removing.

If you would like to use the menu images do the following:
Find menu__dropdown.css, then remove the following from the bottom:




Pending any bug fixes, this may be my final theme release.
