Summary0003475: Translation issue
DescriptionExperimenting with using catalogues to show information in 3 different languages, the problem being that editing the EN entry to DE strings creates another entry in the catalogue. Converting again to FR (by switching language before the edits) creates a third entry. So when you select your language, you will see 3 of the same entry. Pretty sure it's not supposed to work this way.

Adding to this issue, it seems that if I add an entry to a catalogue then switch to German and translate the title, save then switch to French I find the title is set to the German string I just edited (rather than the default English). There is also a small typo in the admin page title (see screenshot).

"Adding to this issue, it seems that if I add an entry to a catalogue then switch to German and translate the title, save then switch to French I find the title is set to the German string I just edited (rather than the default English)"

i.e. when there are more than 2 languages on a site, the fallback for a missing content translation isn't necessary the site's default language, it may be any undetermined language.
I'm not sure we specified the behaviour, I'll have to think about that. I probably agree with you.

"There is also a small typo in the admin page title (see screenshot)."

This is an issue on the language pack apparently for that string, the tracker isn't the right place to resolve - needs to be filed as an issue on Transifex on the FR translation. I don't have the capacity to get intimately involved in any individual translations myself.

I had an extra bracket, which I just had to fix in
