Community Site Showcase

This page presents some websites that have been made using Composr CMS.
Feel free to submit your own site too (so long as it doesn't contain content that should be age-restricted or is blatantly illegal).

Please consider these disclaimers about sites listed here:

  • Unofficial. Nobody is responsible for actively reviewing or re-reviewing what is posted here, there is potential for offensive content.
  • Regular folk. Composr is a product designed to make it easier for anyone to have a sophisticated website. Don't look at these listings and expect professional graphic design, instead see what cool stuff people can do with the resources available to them and according to their priorities. Also, people will up/down-vote based on their priorities. It's actually a beautiful thing so please don't be elitist.
  • Things change. Not everyone maintains their site forever, so sites may no longer be functional or well-maintained. Maybe even someone decided they just need a Wordpress blog. That's just life, don't automatically blame Composr if someone's goals changed. When domain names are not renewed they may even be bought up by spammers, hackers, or adult websites. Report stuff that's no longer appropriate.
  • Arbitrary moderation. While we are not actively reviewing what is listed here, the Composr staff may choose to remove listings that they think will be highly offensive to people or otherwise inappropriate for listing. For example, your site suggesting to breed goats in order to drink their blood in satanic rituals – perfectly legal in most countries, but maybe it's gonna get removed from this list.

We depend on people like you to list your sites, to vote up sites you like, to vote down sites you don't like, and to report ones you think really should not be here. This page is what you make of it.

Hamfiles

Amateur Radio File Repository & Community Forum

Hamfiles provides programming software and technical know how to a cross section of people & services including fire, EMT, MIL, rescue, racing, outback communities, preppers and of course Radio Hams. The forum features prominently as does the download section and frequently receives commendation for its ease of use.

It is driven by an (almost) out-of-the-box setup for the public facing areas with a few personal admin features added for my own convenience using blocks & miniblocks. Composr was chosen for the robust back-end security and has been in service since ocP v7.x.

Saving Wallden

Website showcasing a Visual Pinball table / game in development

This site is running the up and coming latest version of Composr CMS in the works... version 11. It utilizes the default, modernised theme (with a few minor tweaks). And it is heavily page-based, although it also utilizes galleries, news / newsletters, downloads, and support tickets.

Most everything else included in Composr CMS is not used on this site such as most of the social features since this is mostly an informational site.

As version 11 is still in development, this site may encounter bugs.
