Have you checked the Images section of the Downloads tutorial? Composr Tutorial: Providing downloads - Composr

Assuming you have the Galleries addon installed, you should be able to add images as outlined in the Downloads tutorial.

It looks like you are trying to add an image to your description. If you really need to add an image to your description, it looks like the only way to do that is to manually upload the image to your web server and reference it with a URL. I'm not certain, but there may be some technical reason why image attachments aren't available in the Downloads description editor.

Regards,
Jason

Hi,

Yes, the download descriptions aren't "posting forms", which means attachments aren't supported. It's just plain Comcode (or HTML) with no attachment support.

Jason is correct to point to the direct galleries integration, which is a special feature just for the downloads system.

Yes, there is a mass import to gallery feature.

Home → Content Management → Manage galleries → Galleries → Mass-add to gallery

You should see your download's gallery in the selection tree.
(If not, add 1 image to the gallery via the download system, then it should show up.)

You can select multiple files at once in the file selector.
