Catalogue Per Wiki Page?

Dear folks, can you please tell me if there is a way to assign one Wiki Page Catalogue to a Wiki Parent Page?

For example, I have a wiki page titled "Countries of Europe". This wiki page is the parent page for child wiki pages to be created under it. Users will now create wiki child pages named "Germany", "France", "Austria", etc etc.

Then, we will have another parent wiki page titled "Countries of South America", this wiki page is the parent for the child pages users will create regarding the countries within South America.

To make this interesting, I would like to create a Catalogue for each parent Wiki page. So that when a user wants to creat a new child page under that parent page, then they would have a different catalogue that is tailored to that parent subject and would populate the child page.
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

I'm afraid not. Custom fields are per-content-type, we don't support per-category at all.

One alternative would be to consider Custom Comcode Tags. Promote the idea of pre-defining some tags that display things in a consistent way, then people can use the Add Comcode Tag tool to fill them in.

Become a fan of Composr on Facebook or add me as a friend. Add me on on Mastodon. Follow me on Minds (where I am most active). Support me on Patreon

Was I helpful?
  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about Composr whenever you see the opportunity or support me on Patreon.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying Composr on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.
