Hello folks, I know I can list a category of catalogue entries, but if possible, can I display one single catalogue entry in a page? Thanks for any help folks!

Hi,

You need to use the main_content block. You can tell it to show a catalogue entry of a specific ID.

  • If so, please let others know about Composr whenever you see the opportunity or support me on Patreon.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying Composr on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Thanks Chris, I am fighting with the ID at this time, if I named my catalogue entry "Pine" I figured I could use Pine or pine as the ID, but neither seem to work, or am I using the proper ID? I even tried Fpine as that is what is at the end of the url for that catalogue, and I tried "dendrology%2Fpine" as that is at the end of the url after id=
But none of my attempts seem to work.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Look for the ID on the edit URL, it'll be a number. (most IDs are numbers, there are a few exceptions where we typically have a 'codename' on the form, e.g. galleries)

Got it, and thanks Chris!
For those folks who may have the same question, here is where the ID is.

index.php?page=cms-catalogues&type=_edit_entry&id=3&catalogue_name=dendrology&redirect=http%3A%2F%2Ftpwtestuser.com%2Fcomposr%2Findex.php%3Fpage%3Dcatalogues%26type%3Dentry%26id%3Ddendrology%252Fpine
