Difference between OCPortal & Composr

Hello,

I am looking for a matrix view of the differences between OcPortal and Composr.  Specifically add-ons, forum funtionality, and social media integration. Is anyone aware of that, and if so where?

Apologies if this is already posted somewhere but I spent an hour and can't find anything.

Thanks

There are some bits on information in the news archives of ocportal.com which mention new additions like 'decision trees' but primarily it was just a massive rebrand and update of ocportal. A glance at the Github commits may give you some idea of new additions to the code and new addons such as the MediaElement,js Addon (which I suggested would be a better cross-platform solution than the default jwplayer). Of course, just installing Composr and taking a look would give you a good idea of what has changed but mainly it's just improved and updated code with some nice new features. Pretty sure Chris will correct me if I am wrong :P

Oh yeah, the Tracker can be quite helpful to know what's changed/being added.

Hi,

Hopefully this will answer your questions:

Composr CMS: Content Management meets social media

:)

Become a fan of Composr on Facebook or add me as a friend. Add me on on Mastodon. Follow me on Minds (where I am most active). Support me on Patreon

Was I helpful?
  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about Composr whenever you see the opportunity or support me on Patreon.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying Composr on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.
