Manage News

How to set date in future?
Hello! We would like to publish news on our web page in advance.
I did not find that feature under "Add News" feature.
There is only one feature under "Metadata", but it looks it is for "fine tuning" only, since it is written:
Metadata
These fields represent various items of standardised metadata that apply to the resource (new). Normally this metadata is maintained automatically, but you are able to fine-tune/override it here.
We would like to post some news, and set the date that news would be published, in advance: next day, after 2 days, 3 days, etc…Thanks for info!
Kind regards,
CryptoMiners

- If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying Composr on fun personal projects.
- If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

As long as the scheduler is configured (CRON), and the calendar addon is installed, then you should be able to set a future date for news and that will control publishing.

Not so sure how to check/enable CRON. I have Calendar addon in right column, and it works fine.
CRON is a bit difficult…. Any clue?
