New Install of Composr 10

Hi,

First time post. Just installed and I get this error in the admin area:

An error has occurred
An error occurred when loading this screen onto the web browser. You are being notified of this as you are staff. If you believe this is a bug in Composr, please contact the developers with full details. More details are available in your browser's error console. The error was:

1: ReferenceError: deset_active_menu is not defined
.xyz 10th Anniversary | .xyz Domain Names | Join Generation XYZ

Can anyone help?
Thanks

Hi,

Does this happen consistently?

When I pulled up your site the first time, I noticed major display errors (on the login page, as I don't have admin access). It was because the server for some reason had lost some of its cache files. Possibly I did it while you were changing something though and it had temporarily emptied the cache while the page was loading for me, I'm not sure.

Was I helpful?
  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about Composr whenever you see the opportunity or support me on Patreon.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying Composr on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Thanks Chris for the reply,

I was poking around and playing with the theme settings so that may be why it looked like display errors. When I finished and went back to the Dashboard, I saw the the page looked the way it is supposed to and the error message no longer popped up. So, somehow it fixed itself.

So, again Thanks
David
