Ummmmm.... how/why?

So,

I was sending some information to a member of mine via PT. But I doubt said member can read it. I sure can't! The posts shrink horizontally! See attachments.

So yeah…

While making this post originally in Vivaldi (which uses the chrome engine), I couldn't get the attachments to work. Had to use firefox to make this post. Odd. I will see if editing the PT in firefox makes a difference and report, maybe vivaldi/chrome support is simply broken? Maybe it is something on my end? Maybe rabid hamsters have taken over the internets? Who knows.

Like ocPortal? Want to thank Chris and gang somehow? Then help out in the chat room! It really needs your help! Just open it in a tab everytime you open your web browser, and when you hear a "ding", check it out!

No, it isn't a browser issue, nor a PT itself issue. Somehow what I am posting is causing the actual frame to shrink. Very odd…. how do I stop this?

Hi,

Are you able to link me to a live copy of the topic? I think you deleted the one referenced in the URL.

I suspect the issue is inbalanced HTML tags in the Comcode content, potentially the result of some filtering bug.

I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying Composr on fun personal projects.

Hi,

I just did an attachment test in Vivaldi and it was okay. However specifically on your site your overridden ATTACHMENT_UI_DEFAULTS has a couple of junk characters at the start, which I've just fixed for you.

I sent you a PT on my site Chris, so you could see it yourself. Would you want me to also copy/paste that PT here?

Ok so that's a curious one. The post contains an unclosed <b> tag. Due to HTML5 parsing rules this means many <b> tags get propagated all the way the down the rest of the document. That in turn breaks the layout because it basically turns into a column in the faux-tabular topic layout.

I have deployed a fix into your theme that works around the issue.
