Tempcode on Catalog Pages

Pages taking Catalog ID in URL instead of Member ID
On my website, when a user is in their Profile, the right side panel contains the member_override Tempcode. This shows the Member's id number. All is well. When that user clicks the "Content" button and selects some of the dropdowns, the member_override id number changes. I noticed this on catalog pages (pages that use a catalog id number in the URL). It looks like the member_override number pulls the catalog id number from the URL. In other words, the member id number becomes the catalog id number from the URL. Here are two examples:
Products =
Links =
Some of the links I created on the sidepanel are based upon the Member's id. In this example, I need the member_override value to stay as "3".
I don't know if this only happens on catalog pages, or other pages too. I don't know how many pages use the term "id" in the URL to mean different things (user id, catalog id, etc.).
Thanks so much for your help!

- If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying Composr on fun personal projects.
