Error when clicking on "header" or "footer"

Hey all. My Joomla website got trashed by a virus and I decided to try Composr instead. I've gone through the installation as instructed, and I'm about to start customising the layout. My main problem at the moment is when I go to the Zone Editor and click either "top" or "bottom" at the bottom, I get a "Critical Error - bailing out" page that is saying:

PHP ERROR [1] Call to a member function translate_field_ref() on a non-object in sources/fields.php on line 414

I have not modified anything on the site, and also tried re-running the Setup Wizard.

Any help would be appreciated.

Actually, now that I have been poking around, this error happens when I edit anything.

Nevermind. I dropped the database, deleted all the files from the web directory and started again.

Problem fixed.

Hi,

Sorry for the issue. I believe this was fixed in RC11 actually, it affected installs using the No forums and members forum driver.

  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying Composr on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.
