As soon as we hit the final release we'll update Installatron to be Composr instead of ocPortal.
However, unfortunately I can't give a date, as we don't have a final release date.
Previously with ocPortal releases we went gold when we felt it was ready, but with Composr the policy is now to go live after there's been roughly a 2 week period of no non-trivial bug reports. I hope that'll be very soon, but I can't be sure.
Become a fan of Composr on Facebook or add me as a friend. Add me on on Mastodon. Follow me on Minds (where I am most active). Support me on Patreon
- If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
- If so, please let others know about Composr whenever you see the opportunity or support me on Patreon.
- If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying Composr on fun personal projects.
- If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Is there, perhaps, another update revealing possibly how soon the new release 'might' be?
Thanks,
Cheers.

I'd give a hint if I had one

The ocPortal upgrader has been live from the start, and we're updating it for each RC:
Upgrading from ocPortal v8/v9 to Composr v10 - Composr
It's very reasonable to be making live sites using the RC releases, or even upgrading, at this point. Just we want gold to be really bulletproof for Composr.

I have used godaddy for my webhosting and I downloaded OCportal through installatron on the godaddy website. Since OCportal will now be composr, when will the new application be availabe via installatron and the godaddy portal?
Thanks,
Collin

Colin, if you have not built your site yet, and if it is not live, you can install Composr now. It is exactly what I have done, and it works well. There have been a few bugs, but if you glance through the tickets, they have been addressed in an amazingly short period of time. I've been on the RC versions since about v.10
