Disable/Remove Icons on Menu & SubMenus

This includes Menus, Dropdowns etc...

Forgive me, but I have lost the Topic were someone had showed his Composr site having no ICONs on his menu.

To me that really looked slick.  I want to do that was well. 

I want to remove/disable Icons from the menu system, sub-menus & dropdowns.

Remove <img> tag from MENU_BRANCH_dropdown template.

Admin Zone > Style > Themes > Edit templates (on your theme) > MENU_BRANCH_dropdown

As of todays date, 3/31/2017 - there are only two lines to work on.
Comment out these two <img/> using the HTML comment syntax:   <!–-   This is a comment  -–>

LIne 11:  <!–-<img width="20" height="20" alt="" src="{$GET*,img}" srcset="{$GET*,img_2x} 2x" />–->
LIne 20:  <!–-<img alt="" src="{$GET*,img}" srcset="{$GET*,img_2x} 2x" />-–>

Works like a charm :) and you don't have to delete anything. Here is the result:

Probably also a good idea to move the edited copy of that file into the templates_custom/ directory so your changes aren't lost when you upgrade. I tend to move any file I intend to change into the equivalent custom directory, it's good practice and you can refer to the default files if you don't make changes to them directly.

Good point, thanks for bringing that up.

Also worth noting that you can change or disable (by selecting None) the icons for individual links via Admin Zone -> Structure -> Menu Management by opening the Advanced section which might be useful for some people who don't want to lose every single menu icon.
