Composr V10.0.0While competely uninstalling the gallery module and reinstalling. I started from scratch
to build galleries again. I was trying to add "Dog Videos" sub-cat up under the Parent gallery "Dog".

Then when I hit preview button I got this nasty little error.
"You don't have permission to access /data/snippet.php"

I read all the fixes under the new V10.0.1 patch and I didn't see any reference to this so I'm letting you know.
The cause? What to check? How to fix? are my questions.

I've had a look at this and I suspect the problem is excessive file permissions on data/snippet.php. Set exactly the same permissions you have on it as you have for index.php and I think that'll fix it.
For reference, the call is on http://yourbaseurl/data/snippet.php?snippet=exists_gallery(...), i.e. checking the gallery name doesn't conflict. This runs before the preview.

- If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying Composr on fun personal projects.
- If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.
