I'm going to customize for use with Steemit.com
I'm ready to create a site using composr, but tied to steemit.com. Steem is a cryptocurrency tied to their own a blockchain. I will be using volunteers and maybe paid programmers and such through utopian.io. A site tied to steem that rewards people for helping with open source. I think to get support through utopian, I will need to clone your code. Some of the major things I will be doing.
- Adding in log-in/sign up through steem. I believe that will have to be in addition to what you already have. I do believe this could be done as an add-on.
- Adding the option to interact with the Steem blockchain. Again, I believe this could be an add-on.
- Tweaking the communities coding.
- Tweaking the rewards system. In about 6 months, I'll be able to create an SMT, tied to the Steem blockchain.
- Tweaking the rating system.
BTW, you may want to look at utopian.io. You could get support for your great project...

The only thing to you need to make the fork primarily and clearly credit ocProducts - i.e. you can't make a fork and relabel it so ocProducts loses credit for the work we've put in over the years. We've just put in that 'attribution' term to make sure the project doesn't completely run away from us.
This will probably change to crediting the Composr community when v11 is released.
utopian.io looks interesting. I'll certainly consider utilizing that on the contributors part of our upcoming new website.

- If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
- If so, please let others know about Composr whenever you see the opportunity or support me on Patreon.
- If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying Composr on fun personal projects.
- If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

- Yes, will definitely make sure you get lots of recognition for your great product. And if I make a go of it, we'll figure out how to send some rewards your direction… :D
- To get started, I think I'll be doing some add-ons.
- Later, I may try to tweak the code here and there if needed. Once forked, if you like the changes, will you be able to easily pull them back to you, if you wanted?
They regularly (several times a day) give out $50-$100 rewards for work on open source projects.
I see you're on minds. I think I have an account but haven't been on there in months…
- Have you ever looked at Steemit? They have a blockchain and 2 tokens. A few months away from anyone being able to create a Smart Media Token, tied to their blockchain.

I did. I did a big review of all the serious Facebook/Twitter contenders and found I like how simple Minds is, no weird usernames, no need to choose one of many servers, and not as full of trolls as some platforms (I'm looking at Gab lol). But I can also see the advantages of platforms like SteemIt.
v11 is going to contain the ability to easily add CPFs to your site for all these networks, with nice SVG icons for them.
