Hi all,

We'll do our 6th weekly live chat on December 23rd at 3:30pm-5pm GMT (9:30am-11am CST).

Note that this is a different time from most of our previous live chats and we expect a little shorter. This is because it's Christmas coming up and I'll be in the US for it.

Our weekly live chat is a chat about Composr Deploying, Designing and Developing, open to any one who wants to attend. It's a great way to meet other Composr users, influence development, and get some free support from the busy developers. If you don't get a decent reply on something on the forum or IRC, the live chat is the best place to ask. You don't need to be there for the full chat, but it's best to get there near the start in case we don't go the full time length for whatever reason.

Agenda:
  • What you're working on: discuss your site, and what you're working on – and solicit suggestions from the group
  • Community questions: the best way to corner me and get some free step-by-step support or even some coding (if we can cover it within the allotted time of course); please try to bring a couple of questions to the chat
    • Write your questions in this topic
    • … or just ask them live (either by voice, or via the stream's text chat window)
    • Other topics we may discuss:
      • Net Neutrality thoughts
      • How are uninstalled addon files returning to people's Composr sites and causing issues?
      • What social networks should Composr integrate with?
      • Thoughts on Google AMP
      • What parts of the Admin Zone Dashboard do you use
      • The top 10 analytic stats you'd like at your fingerprints

As always, the link is Jitsi Meet. We'll also post a copy of the stream soon after it's concluded for those cannot attend.

See you there :).

If you can't attend but would like to in the future, please reply with the dates/times you could make, so we can try and schedule something that works for you in the future.

Was I helpful?
  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about Composr whenever you see the opportunity or support me on Patreon.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying Composr on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Note that we've stopped doing general-interest video tutorials and coding in the stream for now, to bring it back to more of a chat. After the Christmas period I intend to restart these in a second stream following the live chat.

That said, anyone in the chat who wants to learn something can ask, and we will cover that then & there if possible.
