I have created and updated a news and now is in all news the same date

Hi Developers,

I have since the upgrade to 10.0.3 the problem that all my news have the same date. You can look at this at https://liebrecht.cc/site/news.htm.

The upgrade went well and I could see "Done". After that I wrote a new news and after publishing was still the date of today. Then I edited a block in the zone editor and immediately afterwards was with all news the same date.

How can I fix the problem?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I just checked and currently it seems fine, although it may be usergroup-specific.

I'll see if I can track down a possible cause.

I've had a think, and a look through the code, and I can't think what would have caused it to be honest.

I wonder if by 'Same date' it was all like 'Today' or 'Yesterday' or actually a specific written date?

In any case though, I couldn't find anywhere in the code where the date wasn't passing through correctly. It is quite a complex system, as we pass the date through Tempcode so that contextual dates work even when caching is on, so it's possible something went wrong there, but I'd need a copy of a broken site's database to run tests on to try an reverse engineer it.

Thanks for reporting.

Thanks for the explanation and I will continue to observe this behavior of the system. Logged out of the back end, it shows the correct date. Let's see if I have still logged in and then watch it.

Chris,

I have to report again. I watch with me in the system that both news and blog posts have the same date when I am logged in. Everything should be alright.

Is it probably a mistake with me in the system or what do you think about it? I will install everything bugfixes updates diligently and observe it times.

Hi,

Could you attach a screenshot please. Also if you could e-mail me a copy of your cms_cache table to chris@ocproducts.com that may give me some clues.

Thanks

Thanks Chris,

Everything is all right again after the update to Composr 10.0.4. The date is now displayed correctly.

Ok. I don't think it's anything you've done or a bug I've fixed, more likely some very subtle issue with the Tempcode engine on your server, and emptying the caches flushes that. So please do grab a cms_cache table dump quickly if you see it again.
