I might be missing something, but I've not been able to post a support ticket as a guest even though the permissions appear to be in order.  When I try, I get a message that I need to be logged in to generate a support ticket.

Makes sense to me that you would need to be a member to open a support ticket. Guests can use the Bug Tracker to raise issues or offer feedback, or use good old fashioned email (just my opinion, not an official response).

This is a bug reported privately to me last night also, a fix will come soon.

Become a fan of Composr on Facebook or add me as a friend. Add me on on Mastodon. Follow me on Minds (where I am most active). Support me on Patreon

Was I helpful?
  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about Composr whenever you see the opportunity or support me on Patreon.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying Composr on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Thank you for the response KingBast - the reason I wanted guests to be able to open a ticket directly is when they have login/registration issues. I've a SMF forum that I use for my students, and there are always registration and/or login issues at the beginning of every semester.

Thanks Chris, for the reply, and I'm glad that I wasn't just missing something!

Okay, understood. There is a feedback form you can enable for that with Conversr forum, but at least that's another bug ironed out. I actually thought you meant the Support Tickets on this website though when I replied :)
