Making Gallery The Front Page

Forgive me for asking, but I read this somewere and I can't seem to locate it. , maybe looked too hard? I thought I saw it in the forums one day?

I want to do away with the Frontpage (Welcome back: Member).  I want my Gallery to be the default Homepage/Frontpage and defualt URL for the [HOME] button. So it would be setup like this:

http://mydomain.com/composr
redirected to:   http://pettoob.com/composr/index.php?page=galleries

and

[HOME BUTTON] http://pettoob.com/composr/index.php?page=start
redirected to:  http://pettoob.com/composr/index.php?page=galleries

I found a few examples of  what to put here for a couple of scenarios, but not exactly what I want to do and I'm a little unclear as to what to put in the boxes:

http://mydomain.com/composr/adminzone/index.php?page=admin-redirects

redirects.png

But I want to make sure I don't screw it up. I think, but I'm not for sure this is the best way to go about it? Or, is there a better way?

Help on this is appreciated - TIA

The easiest way is actually to edit the welcome zone (Admin Zone > Structure > Zones) and set the default page to galleries.

  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about Composr whenever you see the opportunity or support me on Patreon.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying Composr on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.
