I've tried this on my site to see what it did, but it actually refuses to send the PT (most likely because 'bot' isn't a registered user).
Is this old tech or am I just using the website bot wrong, and if it still works, what's it do??

Testing this on my test installation and it seems to work OK. I've never actually used the chat before so the setup is virgin as it were though I'm not 100% sure what to expect. I'm running 10.0.22 with an unmodified theme (just seed colour changed).
Are there any steps you'd like me to recreate to see what happens at this end?

The tutorial shows initiating it with the use of a Comcode tag. I imagine via a page, private message, or forum post?
When I placed this tag on a Comcode page, it showed the tag as text and didn't seem to do anything.
Then I tried sending an actual private topic to 'bot' but Composr did not allow this.

- If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
- If so, please let others know about Composr whenever you see the opportunity or support me on Patreon.
- If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying Composr on fun personal projects.
- If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Perhaps not as clear as I thought, but chatcode is for the chatrooms only.
