Third Timer

I hope it's true that the third time is a charm..
I've tried using Composr a couple of times before. The first time, it was still OCPortal and very frustrating as I couldn'ty even modify the header to my liking. I need to get something out and couldn't afford the learning curve. I ended up with a Concrete-5 website which I am mostly happy with. I like the look and feel of it but it falls short when it comes to interactive features.
The seond time I got further along trying to persuade my Writters Group to use it for the club website, I wasn't able to demonstrate some desired features so they went in another direction.
This time I plan on adding a portal to my website where I can manage my projects and support my clients. By now I have a pretty good idea of what Composr can and can't do (easily or out of the box) and intend on staying within those constraints. I don't have any hard deadlines and so I'll be able to learn things bit by bit.
At the moment, I'm trying find how to change the outer background image. I thnk I'm using the correct terminology for the background painted behind the3 bounds of the content and its borders. I don't know if I need to edit css, html, or use an edit link somewhere?
Anyway, I here to give Composr one more go. Wish me luck and a happy experience.

This video should help you with the outer background

- If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
- If so, please let others know about Composr whenever you see the opportunity or support me on Patreon.
- If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying Composr on fun personal projects.
- If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.
