All reported bugs since the last release have been fixed, including as always any bugs fixed in the v10 release line.

There have been very few bug reports filed for the v10.1 beta releases – which almost certainly indicates a lack of public testing so far, rather than a perfect release. Likely due to the focus on eCommerce "shop front" work in v10.1 only being important to a subset of the Composer user-base. We have therefore decided we will keep putting out beta releases of v10.1 in step with patch releases of v10, until it is clear that v10.1 is considered stable by the Composr community. Normally the process is to make a release gold after a period of no major bugs being filed, but we believe this is a special case.

If you have done substantial testing to the eCommerce changes in v10.1, including upgrading from v10, and know of no major outstanding issues that remain: please let us know and we will quickly release v10.1 as a gold release.

Until then:
  1. Anyone is welcome to use v10.1 on their sites in the capacity they are comfortable with. Please keep good and frequent backups, especially before doing any upgrades.
  2. Reported bugs will be fixed in the normal prompt manner you have come to expect from the developers.
  3. Major development focus will remain on the v11 branch, which represents the next big leap for Composr CMS.
